Default Drift Spec Camber?

Hey guys? Ok. so I bought my car about 3 months ago and I noticed that there is some insane camber on the rear wheels. The guy wanted to set it up for drifting but right now I use it as a DD till I can find a place to drift or store it for the winter. Now what I would like to know is what exactly are the regular specs for camber, toe, etc. Whats the best setup? Also I wanted to know. If I were to continue to use this as a DD but occasionally want to set it up for drifting is there a setup out there or method that I could use to easily change camber, toe, etc. in like 15 min to get it setup for either? I know they make adjustable arms and stuff but didnt know if it was neccesary. Oh, btw I do have the Megan Racing Series Adjustable Coilovers that would help in this, just for some extra info. Thanks if someone can give me an answer on this. thanx

negative camber in the rear wheels makes no sence. you'll blow though tires very quickly when you are only spinning the inside of the tire. your camber should be close to zero. it will give you better traction.
get your car aligned and have them do it for the stock specs. if you slam your car your going to need after-market control arms to keep the stock specs. your stock adjustments will only go so far.

but tons of -camber in the rear makes no sense. some in the front is good when your sideways

i run -3 camber in the front
-1.5 in the rear, mainly to fit bigger tires
stock specs for toe in the front
and zero toe in the rear

jay's right about the negative camber being dumb.

...if you have a 300hp SR.

i highly recommend negative camber in the rear if you're close to factory power numbers as you'll have a lot more fun and learn much faster.

less contact patch, less grip.

and this thing about tires wearing out quicker with neg camber everyone talks about. not true.

here's the deal: mount tire. drive car. notice bald insides. dismount tire. turn tire around. mount tire. drive car.

the tire lasts just as long as any other. flipping it once during it's lifetime is a small price to pay
for the exponential amount of fun and drifting capabilities the negative camber has gotten you.

start off with -2 - -2.5 in front, and -3 - -3.5 in the rear.
then play around from there.

and if you're still on stock ka, streettttcchhhh tireeeeessss for the love of god.

Hey Thanks for the info. Yeah I found out that you go through tires real quick with that much camber (of which Im not sure what its at). Within the first month of occasional drifting I had to swap tires. Ill wait till next spring to get it aligned and by then Ill probs but aftermarket control arms cause the car is lowered. Also in one of the posts it says to stretch tires. Noob question I know and Ill look it up as soon as I post this but how the hell do you stretch tires?! Thanks for the info guys.

stretching tires is running a smaller width tire on a wider wheel
like a 205/40/17 on a 17x9 wheel rather then a 245/40
makes the tire stiffer and wont flex as much under abuse,, ie drifting

like look at abe fromans front tires. the walls of the tire aren't straight with the rim. they stretch in.

I'm just getting into this myself, but what kind of tires do you run for drifting? i figured just pick up some cheap all-seasons and stretch a little?

in the rear i run what ever i can get.
my buddies work for nissan and find me free tires so i use those.
some tires handle the heat others just chunk off.
through clubloose i got some nexen nx3000 tires
they seem to hold up well and last a while
