If your engine is pushing significant quantities of oil up a vertical distance of about 10 inches or so, past the open Tee fitting in the valve cover, and filling up your catch can quickly; you have issues. You either have extraordinarily high amounts of blow by worn or missing piston rings. Or your 240 has a 7MGTE from a Mark III Supra under the hood.

I have never seen a crankcase ventilation system dump mass quantities of oil unless there was an issue with the engine.

then you didn't drive your car NEARLY hard enough. no big deal. or you where running pedestrian boost.

crank that gate and pump 20 + psi through a good sized snail and report back.

nissan found it necessary for 10psi on a t25. food for thought.

just work the factory air/oil seperator back into the mix and its a win. its that simple.
