Default So you like heavy shift knobs?

Trailer hitch ball: $7
Machining: Free
Having a big, comfy, heavy and goofy shift knob: Priceless.

But seriously, I had for the longest time wanted to make a trailer hitch shift knob because it's nice and heavy, so here it is. I recommend it to everyone

Also, I think I should get it powdercoated black, JNR powdercoat? And my interior looks much worse under a bright light

WOW!
I CANNOT believe that nobody has ever thought of that! Thats a great freakin idea man awesome!

I JUST JUST ordered the hammer shift knob with my internals from AMS - just shy of 1lb and leather wrapped lead for 19 bux.

I have a solid steel shift knob now thats heavier than the greddy but chrome shift knobs can scald you in the summer then freeze you in the winter. Half the time you gotta keep a rag on the shifter to drive it! could always wrap the trailer hitch in leather yourself! lol

weigh that thing man, whats it clock in at?

Glad everyone likes it as much as I do It says on top it's a 20,000 LB rated hitch, I will weight it today though. I think it will look even cooler in black or gunmetal... I was also thinking powdercoating will prevent it from heating up too much in the summer. Oh and the heavier it is the easier it falls into gear, it allows less effort on your part to get into gear.

Just curious, now that it's all scratched up, what can the scratches be filled with before I powdercoat it? Bondo? Some sort of solder?

Even trailer hitches are usefull on 240s. Thats awesome though. I say we get a bunch of them and sell them as the offical 240sxone shift knob.
