Does it feel underpowered or did the numbers disappoint you?

Numbers mean nothing. If the car drives great and feels great, love it. If you think the tune sucks, have someone else tune it.

Out of curiosity, since i've read your build, what did it make?

Here's the thing. I had my stock motor @15psi it made 325whp 309wtq and this built motor makes 339whp 318wtq @18psi.the tuner said he wont tune for more than 18psi on pump gas and it wont make any more power "airflow is maxxed out". But I feel like It should make more power .

Compression ratio is going to have a large factor in that.

I don't know who airflow is maxed out. You're most definitely not pushing that turbo to its limits, and being speed density you're not maxing out your MAF.

I would contact a different tuner if youre unsatisfied.

Post screen shots of it.

if you consider a retune i would speak with john at performance and style in Manchester ct. ive seen him tune many pump gas 240s into the 22-23psi range that are still running the streets years later.

i dont really consider that low. ill throw in a 20hp/tq fudge factor between dynos and conditions and say thats reasonable power. i bet i was right around 350 on 18psi with a 8.8:1 DE which does generally make 5-10% more power than a single. when i had stock cams, virtual dyno put me at 330whp and 360tq. this was reasonable in comparison to other hy35 kade dynos ive seen. as steve said i think that compression is a decent factor towards a few ponies. i would think that compression to be more suiting to a hi pressure race gas application. with that said the tuner may just be keeping it really safe to cover his butt. i bet you can push some timing on that compression.

if you dont post screen shots.... what is your timing at peak torque? and how much does it ramp there after? did you witness the tuning?

I was not able to witness the tuning but the tuner told me peak tq was at 5300rpm and it held it to about 6100 then fell off

what are you reving it too. 17* timing is seems pretty aggressive on 18 psi for a DE. I could only assume the head design of the E makes it similar. The low compression is going to be one of the factors. 7.8 is really low. Does the wideband actually show the numbers you are commanding?
