Thumbs up Re: battery relocate

Its a general good idea for our chassis. I am set to do my relocation soon as the cold goes away.
Depending on yur modifications it can become necessity, not only for the weight distrubution but the space savings under the hood. In my case with the RB20 and cross over manifold it wasnt a must, but having the extra weight from the turbo and extra cylinders it is an easy way to regain some balance. With an upgraded same side mani the cold pipe needs to pass thru the battery tray leaving no room for a full size battery.
All in all its a good little project to undertake. When done properly it only offers advantages and the process will only make you more familliar with the s chassis.
Good luck and happy wrenching!

Rules depends on what you are going to be doing. U want it to pass all inspections? Look no farther than NHRA codes. I think they have stringent enough specs to cover most organized motorsports.

Mine is relocated to the trunk and ventilated. And although the one time I did make it to nh dragstrip they called me out for no kill switch, they let me run anyways on street night.
