great strides have happened in the last couple weeks, enjoy the pics.

I had filled the door switch holes with plates because of the roll cage being so close they would never be connected again, and then had a spare minute so I filled them and made it look nice nice

finally started laying some paint, painted the entire interior with a single stage hot rod black that drys into a semi gloss almost flat black.
before and afters

got the tranny off and started ripping into the motor a little more

and I saved the best for last, its finally painted!!!

got my baby back home, feeling completed right now lol

its been awhile sense my last post, life's been getting in the way but everyone knows what that's like.

got a bunch of misc parts painted with some single stage hot rod flat black.

Then I got a buddy to hook me up with some new glass

After waiting for six months for zero lift to get me my rb25 swap mounts I finally got some knock offs from ebay, almost identical except the tranny mount didn't have the extra supports so I did it my self. Almost looks like I know what I'm doing lol

recently I started to play with the body wiring harness, I took out all the automatic seat belt wiring and ecu, and relocated a few things for a cleaner look with the stripped half interior....it was also a Monday lol

last thing for now, I bought xmat from Eastwood for sound deading and insulation. wasn't too bad to work with and a reasonable price.

finishing up fixing/ cleaning the hvac boxes and then hopfully start getting the interior back together.

Okay so it's been a while sense there's been any progress and posts because my dumbass went and bought my first home and turns out that you have to start putting time and money into that stuff too
But I wouldn't come without bearing pictures!

And now for my sad news/ slice of humble pie, I've decided to sell the Rb25 in favor of picking up a ka24de with a turbo kit.
It sucks but it just makes more sense at this point in time, Ive run very short on money, time and would rather suck it up just to drive the car and get behind the wheel of a Schassis again.
But the good news is that I got a ka24 with said turbo kit all lined up from a work buddy and should be working with that monstrosity in about a month

I love my KA-T. A built block costs about as much as a N1 oil pump...

exactly Chubbs, and I picked up the ka24 with turbo for a good price, a T04 garrett with a .60? trim so it should hit 350-400 whp without too much trouble.
Chubbs I've seen your build and its sick, whats the most amount of whp/tq that a stock ka tranny can take before they usually blow up? last I remember while flipping through old forums was about 350lbft of tq...

No idea. Mine handles my 30R just fine, so far. and its an unknown s14 trans with unknown milage. I run redline in it, for what its worth. Also, I found that the stock shifter is much easier on the trans (previously ran an ebay short throw that I broke in half)

copy that redline, I was eye balling the isr v2 short throw they have now too
I also remember seeing other people saying that the ka tranny will last a lot longer as long as you don't beat on it hard aka slamming the shifts all the time and not launching it at every red light lol
its the only thing I'm worried about with going KAT but I'm confident that the parts are out there for when I do blow it up at least.
