Default 255 18's up front?

Just wondering if anyone on here has 255's mounted on 18's on the front of their s13. I'm curious about fender clearance and handling characteristics runnng such a wide tire up front. Im running 285-35-18's in the rear on 11's for a flat sidewall and 255 are flat on a 9.5 inch rim. Any input is appreciated.

Not gonna be fun on stock metal depending on height.

In my opinion, I think staying with stock metal fenders might be a better choice because if they dont fit under the +20's then your going to be cutting them up.

Its going to depend on offset and ride height as well. This is mine, 18x10 -3 with 245 40's. i had 225's prior but were too much of a hassle to get mounted so i opted to run big, which i like since im also on a 285 35 in the rear. The handling i cannot comment much on because my alignment sucked and the steering bushing was loose AF. To get them to fit the fenders was moderately a bitch, but my issue was inner clearances. A hammer worked good enough to make it pretty drivable for the season, but now im doing a full overhaul of the front end and built full tubs including the firewall.

That looks pretty bad ass! Im doing an s13.4 conversion so thats the reason for the fiberglass fenders. They come 20mm wider than stock. Im not slamming the car so there will be be a small gap between the tire and fender. Trying to run as close to zero camber as possible for grip. Right now my setup is 285/35/18 on 18x11-10 rear, 255/40/17 on 17x9.5+18 front (friends wheel). No inner clearence issues with the 17's, but i would rather have 18's up front as well.

Pretty sure you're definitely going to hit your inners at lock.

I assume a 255/40?

Why not something like a 235/40, and more offset.

If you are running 255-40-17s now, then just run 255-35-18s. They are close to the same o.d. So the clearence should be about the same

I was thinking 255/35/18 up front. Especially if they give me a flat sidewall like the 285's do on the 11's. 235's are still streched on a 9.5 and im im trying to stay away from that on this car. Im going for more of a "gt" look so to speak without sacrificing handling and drivability.

it wont be that bad on depending on height. def go 255/35. a 40 will be ridiculous on a 240.
